CA Foundation exam is the first stage or the entry-level exam to become a Chartered Accountant. It is conducted by ICAI, This is the first step after passing Class 12 to become a Chartered Accountant. However, candidates also have to qualify for the Intermediate, and Final stage after this.

What is CA Foundation eligibility?

Candidates appearing in class 12 or who have already passed the class 12 exams can register for the CA Foundation exam. Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the class 12 board exam to meet the eligibility criteria for applying for the CA foundation exam

How many attempts CA Foundation?

6 tries

Because CA Foundation registration is valid up to 3 years, you can take 6 tries for a single registration period before having to re-register. The number of attempts you take might influence your career.

Does CA have negative marking?

Yes

The CA Foundation exam is conducted for a total of 400 marks, with each paper carrying 100 marks. Negative marking is applicable to objective papers, deducting one-fourth mark for each incorrect answer. The exam is conducted in offline mode.

What is the passing marks of CA Foundation?

A candidate is declared to have passed the Foundation examination, if he obtains at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of all the papers.
